Christmas

Well, it came and it went. I was taking down the decorations today and Carter said, "Christmas is not over"! He didn't get his soccer jersey or his hamburger maker so he thinks we should still have Christmas until he gets all the presents he asked for. Little does he know that he is not getting the hamburger maker he saw on an infomercial. Maybe we can get the soccer jersey for his birthday. This kid only likes to wear jerseys. The football one he got for Christmas was not enough I guess.

Jazz Game

Brett took Camry and Carter to a Jazz game last Friday. Advanta has a suite and so we get to go to several games during the year. It was a late game and I thought the kids might have trouble staying awake. They had a great time with all the food, treats, drinks, and ice cream they wanted. Camry had a hard time staying awake during the second quarter so Brett decided they would leave early. When he told Carter it was time to go, Carter said, "But the game's not over". By then, it was just after 11:00. Brett said he sat there the whole time and watched. He hasn't stopped talking about the Jazz Bear and how he shot t-shirts at the audience. He is such a sports fan. Brett couldn't be happier.

Halle had a school program about the State of Utah. She did her report on Emery County. They sang a lot of songs, danced the Virginia Reel, and played 9 RECORDER SONGS. WOW! I did get it on tape if anyone is interested. Halle made sure I kept the camera rolling. She also had a piano recital last Friday. She played the famous Chipmunk Song. She did a great job. She is such a beautiful girl and I am proud of her for all her hard work.

Brett has been working on finishing our bathroom down stairs. Finally!!! He worked on it last weekend and had a little shadow following him around with his tool belt and tools. I wonder who that could be. We like to call him Timmy the tape measure. We were shopping for bathroom stuff last week and Carter saw this tape measure that he had to have. He has not put it down for a week. If he does get distracted and realizes he doesn't have it he gets all panic and asks, "Where's my tape measure"? Brett will ask him while he is working if he can use his tape measure. He gets all proud that his dad asked to use his tools. It is really funny. He is such a cute boy.

Thanksgiving

Well, I am attempting this again. I am horrible at this blogging thing. I never find enough time to sit down at the computer and do something that isn't work or church related. My job and kids keep me going all day long. When the kids go to bed, Amazing Race or Biggest Loser always takes 1st place at my house.

Thanksgiving was a little weird this year because we stayed at home and had our own little dinner by ourselves. Brett's parents came over and that was about it. The kids made some turkeys out of apples, frootloops, and marshmallows to set at the table. They were very excited to get involved with the dinner. I am pretty darn proud of myself for making such a fabulous turkey. We look forward to going to Huntington next year.
